NU Student bags best research Paper Award at the 4th Middle East College Student Conference 2019

of Engineering, National University of Science and Technology received the
research best
research Paper Award at the 4th Middle East College Student Conference 2019
held on 10th December 2019.
This conference was organised to o
promote the best practices in research among students, and as an endeavour to
cultivate research and collaboration culture among students and young
professionals. One of the theme of this
conference focused on areas related to Smart technologies, Communication,
Engineering, and Archives & Management. Mr. Ahmed Khamis Abdullah
Al Ghadani under the supervision of Dr. Ramesh Kumar has bagged the
best paper awarded for this research paper entitled “Collecting Datasets on
Ore Mining Industry and Training Using YOLO ANNs for Object Identification in
Mining Sites”. This papers is also selected for its publication in the
American Journal of Student Research. The research carried out by Mr Ahmed, encompasses
the process of dataset preparation, training, and evaluating a custom
artificial neural network based on YOLO ANNs architecture for mining industry.
